Al Garhoud
Often referred to as Garhoud, this is a mixed-use community. There are many apartments, villas, office buildings, shops, and warehouses for rent near Dubai International Airport. Located in old Dubai, Al Garhoud houses both old and new villas and is both a residential and commercial area. It is one of the most popular areas for renting apartments in Old Dubai.
Al Garhoud is home to several Emirates Airlines employees because the area is close to the airport. If you work in old Dubai and do not own a vehicle, this is a great place to live. A great place to grow as a professional and live in for singles, this community is well serviced by public transportation.

Dubai’s Al Garhoud community is among the most popular. As an area that is part of old Dubai, one will find that there are a variety of commercial and residential sub-communities. You can choose between apartments or villas. Offices and shops are available for those looking for commercial space. For those working in Al Garhoud who are looking to live in a comfortable residential neighborhood without having to travel much, Al Garhoud is ideal.
Al Garhoud has about 20 supermarkets. There are a few large supermarkets in Dubai, including Lifco Supermarkets, Choirams, and Emirates Cooperative Society. There are smaller supermarkets such as Al Sour Supermarket, Madeena Supermarket, and Al Madina Mart. Hypermarkets are only 9 minutes away in Deira City Centre if you prefer to shop there.
Nearly all the churches are located in Oud Mehta, which is about 11 minutes away. There are several churches to choose from including The Dubai City Church, Saint Mary’s Church, Holy Trinity Church, Christian Fellowship Church, and an Egyptian Coptic Church.
In Bur Dubai, Hindus will also find temples close to Al Garhoud. In the Al Raffa district of Bur Dubai, you can find Shree Krishna Haveli, Shiva Temple, and Shrinath Ji Temple. There is also a Sikh Gurudwara in Al Raffa that is open to the Sikh community. Traveling to Al Raffa takes 18 minutes.
Nearby mosques include Garhoud Mosque, Al Hamdan Mosque, and Bin Hamdan Mosque. In Al Garhoud, there are several mosques with seating for several hundred worshippers each.
Al Garhoud Properties

Transportation Facilities in Al Garhoud

The Al Garhoud community has four metro stations where residents can use the metro to travel around town. You can reach GGICO, Airport Terminal 1, Airport Terminal 3, and Emirates via the Red Line. In addition to these metro stations, the community is connected to other parts of Dubai by RTA bus stops.
